What we measure

Every measurement the platform collects, grouped by the question it answers about the body. Each one is explained in plain language, together with which direction is an improvement and why.

Body composition

12 measurements

What the body is made of, and what it costs to keep running. These change over months rather than days, and a scale measures most of them directly instead of inferring them from weight alone.

  • #Weight
  • #BMI
  • #Fat mass
  • #Fat ratio
  • #Fat-free mass
  • #Muscle mass
  • #Visceral fat
  • #Bone mass
  • #Hydration
  • #BMR
  • #Waist circumference
  • #Height

Heart and vessels

12 measurements

How the heart behaves at rest, and how flexible the arteries are. The longest-studied signals in cardiovascular health — and the ones where a watch and a scale genuinely measure different things under the same word "pulse".

  • #Resting HR
  • #HRV
  • #Min HR
  • #Max HR
  • #Heart rate
  • #BP systolic
  • #BP diastolic
  • #Pulse
  • #Arterial stiffness
  • #Vascular age
  • #ECG
  • #Nerve health

Fitness and movement

7 measurements

How much work the body can do, and how much it actually did. The group with the strongest evidence behind it, and the only one with a public-health target attached: the World Health Organization suggests 150 minutes of moderate activity a week.

  • #VOâ‚‚max
  • #Intensity min
  • #Intensity min (moderate)
  • #Intensity min (vigorous)
  • #Steps
  • #Distance
  • #Calories

Sleep and recovery

11 measurements

Whether the body is repairing. Most physical recovery happens during sleep, so these measurements describe both the night itself and how much capacity the following day starts with.

  • #Sleep score
  • #Sleep
  • #Deep sleep
  • #REM sleep
  • #Light sleep
  • #Awake
  • #Sleep stress
  • #Body Battery
  • #Recovery
  • #Stress (avg)
  • #Stress (max)

Breathing and oxygen

3 measurements

How you breathe and how much oxygen your blood is carrying. Measured mostly while you sleep, when breathing settles into its most regular pattern and a night-to-night comparison actually means something.

  • #SpO2
  • #Respiration (asleep)
  • #Respiration (awake)

Blood sugar and lipids

15 measurements

How the body handles sugar and fat. The metabolic core of cardiometabolic health — and the part that no wearable can see, because it takes a blood test.

  • #Glucose
  • #HbA1c
  • #Insulin
  • #HOMA-IR
  • #C-peptide
  • #Total cholesterol
  • #LDL cholesterol
  • #HDL cholesterol
  • #VLDL cholesterol
  • #Triglycerides
  • #Lp(a)
  • #ApoA1
  • #Omega-3 index
  • #Omega-6/Omega-3 ratio
  • #Uric acid

Organ function and inflammation

11 measurements

How the liver and kidneys are coping, and whether there is background inflammation. These organs absorb metabolic strain quietly, which is why they are measured rather than felt.

  • #ALT
  • #AST
  • #GGT
  • #Creatinine
  • #eGFR
  • #Cystatin C
  • #Urine albumin (UACR)
  • #Microalbuminuria
  • #hs-CRP
  • #IL-6
  • #TNF-α

Hormones and nutrients

10 measurements

Hormones that set the pace of metabolism, and the vitamins and minerals the rest of it runs on. Slow-moving and easy to overlook — a thyroid or vitamin D result explains patterns that no wearable can.

  • #TSH
  • #Cortisol (morning)
  • #Testosterone (total)
  • #PTH
  • #Vitamin D (25-OH)
  • #Vitamin B12
  • #Folate
  • #Homocysteine
  • #Ferritin
  • #Magnesium

Which measurements you actually have depends on your devices and your lab results. Watches differ: an older model may never record heart-rate variability, while a newer one may not estimate VOâ‚‚max until it has recorded outdoor activity. A measurement you do not have is missing from your device, not missing from you.
